We begin with karting and progress through to the Jim Russell Championship Series
Talent development is the heart of our program at the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School.
We begin with the Jim Russell International Karting Center, which has programs for drivers 8 years and up.
The Jim Russell Racing Drivers School curriculum is designed to manage the transition from kart to race car, a delicate transition that is not always a successful one for many talented karters. We teach at the karting level with the same core philosophy as the racing school, this facilitates a transparent logical progression from karting to the formula cars.
From the school was move through advanced activities that make the most of the data acquisition systems on board every FJR-50 right into the Jim Russell Championship Series.
In keeping with our core philosophy, the Series places an emphasis on an abundance of track time. There will be opportunity in the future of a young driver’s career to familiarize themselves with the routines of travel and other venues. Instead, we eliminate variables to isolate and extract the optimum skills of every driver.
For the 2010 Championship Series, the winning driver will be awarded a fully-funded season in the 2011 FIA Formula Two Championship, representing the Jim Russell Future Driver team. The F2 Championship has been created as the final rung on the ladder to Formula One. As proof, the F2 champion earns a test with multi-time World Champions, the AT&T Williams F1 team.
