Today’s breeding ground for tomorrow’s champions, karting is the de facto point of entry for most any career in motorsports. Yet, karting isn’t only for the career minded racer. Increasingly, driving enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds are discovering the pure, and visceral, joy of karting.
The Simraceway International Karting Center, among the country’s top karting venues, offers a range of courses for beginners and experienced drivers. From ages 8 to over 50, there‘s a class in our race-prepared karts capable of reaching 60 mph in under five seconds.
There is also a weekly open testing for experienced karters, and the Infineon Raceway-based Simraceway Karting Championship Series.
All sprint kart courses are open to drivers 13 years and older piloting our full-sized Trackmagic "Dragon" racing chassis.
Drivers over 16 use 30 hp, water-cooled 125cc, TaG engined karts capable of 60 mph in under six seconds. Drivers 13-15 years old use junior 15 hp, air-cooled TaG engined karts. The lighter weight of the junior drivers ensures the same speed thrills that their older classmates receive while keeping their top speed in check.
Both programs cover the fundamentals of karting dynamics with a focus on techniques to extract the most from racing karts.
The Cadet Karting Courses are for youngsters ages 8 to 12. Making sure that young karters get started on the right trajectory is critical not only to their safety, but to their enjoyment as well.
We use real racing karts, scaled down to fit smaller karters. The curriculum has a strong emphasis on safety, teaching students the basics of the kart, as well as proper track etiquette. Our Cadet karts feature restricted 85cc Puma engines with onboard starters that can accelerate to 40 miles per hour.
The Sprint Kart Series is designed to send our most promising drivers up the racing ladder. Running as part of ProKart Challenge Events, Sprint Arrive & Drive competitors of all ages are with the best karting competition available.
