Today’s breeding ground for tomorrow’s champions, karting is the de facto point of entry for most any career in motorsports.  Yet, karting isn’t only for the career minded racer.  Increasingly, driving enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds are discovering the pure, and visceral, joy of karting.

The Simraceway Performance Karting Center, among the country’s top karting venues, offers a range of courses for beginners and experienced drivers.  From ages 13 to over 80, there‘s a class in our race-prepared karts capable of reaching well over 60mph.

There is also a weekly open testing for experienced karters, and the Sonoma Raceway-based Simraceway Karting Championship Series.

All sprint kart courses are open to drivers 13 years and older piloting our full-sized Trackmagic "Dragon" racing chassis.

Drivers use 30 hp, water-cooled 125cc, TaG engined karts capable of over 60mph. 

All programs cover the fundamentals of karting dynamics with a focus on techniques to extract the most from racing karts.

Back by popular demand for 2013 is the Simraceway Senior Arrive and Drive karting series.  This 9 weekend, 10 race series is open to drivers 13 years and older. Grand Prix Karting is the newest addition to the Simraceway Performance Karting Center.  Grand Prix Karting offers programs for corporate groups, kids, and racing events open to the general public.  The Grand Prix Karts allow drivers to battle wheel to wheel on track with the benefits of a full bumper system, enclosed wheels, safety roll bar, and seat belts.  Feel the rush of an indoor kart on one of the best outdoor tracks in the country!

The Simraceway Performance Karting Center calendar is updated on a regular basis.  Open practice, racing school programs, corporate group programs, Grand Prix Karting events, and more are displayed on the calendar.
