At the core of the Simraceway Performance Driving Center program is the modern and relevant teaching platform, the Formula 3 based FJR-50 racecar. This sophisticated vehicle demands top of the line curriculum and instruction. To achieve this we have attained some of the best instructors in the world. Our instructors are still extremely active and race all over the country. So with an industry leading instructor to student ratio of one for every three students, along with small class sizes, the School of Racing offers greater one-on-one time to address your specific needs.
Racing requires more than pure speed. Successful drivers at every level combine speed with race acumen in order to finish on top. In the Advanced School of Racing, drivers gain the necessary knowledge of the racing environment needed to be competitive from the start.
The program reviews car control and advanced driving dynamics; however, with a higher expectation of proficiency. Advanced car control exercises will focus on the mastery of load transfer and slip angle and its progression through the varying downforce levels. This is done with the aim on improving and maximizing those all-important corner speeds to help lower lap times even more.
The attention also turns to race craft. Passing & drafting at high speed into a heavy braking zones, where the majority of passes are made, gets paid specific attention. Fitness and nutrition will be addressed as well as detailed debriefs with our data acquisition.
All of this will lead into a replication of a race event, with practice and qualifying sessions Drivers will practice rolling start sessions providing the chance to come to grips with the pressure filled race starts from a variety of grid positions. Last step is a full race, when all your skills and knowledge are put to the test.
